Instructions. Help.

This Web site aims to introduce you to Guadeloupe, a French region oversees. The site consists of a

Welcome Page (accueil) and 5 lessons. Each lesson is designed so that you:

-study pictures and key words

-go to links about Guadeloupe on the web and study the material you find there

-answer questions on the Guadeloupe lesson web page. (Boxes will increase in size as you write.)

When you are finished, submit your answers email to your instructor by using the send button (envoyez) at the end of the lesson.

Some tips:

1. Identifying yourself. Be sure to type in your name and email address so your instructor knows whose work is in the email. As a double check if you use someone else's email or if your email address does not include your name, add your name at the end of your last answer in that answer box.

2. Selecting a browser. Use Internet Explorer rather than Netscape. It works much better for accents.

3.Changing pages. If you change pages while you are working without using the back button of your browser, you will likely lose your work. Be sure to use the BACK button or other navigation on your brower when moving among pages.

4. Opening additional windows. If you wish to work with more than one window open at a time, RIGHT click on the link you wish to open in a new window and select OPEN IN NEW WINDOW. You can then drag the windows around so that you can see the Internet site about Guadeloupe at the same time as you see the answer box you need to write in.

5. Incomplete lessons. If you need to interrupt your work before you have finished a lesson, print or save it because when you close the Guadeloupe site, your answers will be lost. It is preferred that you do not send your instructor answers individually, but send the entire lesson at once. But if it is absolutely necessary for you to quit before completing the lesson, go to the bottom of the page and send your instructor the work that you have completed.

6. Accents. As always in French, use accents when you write. For information on making accents, see aide avec les accents.

7. Help. The link aide will return you to this instruction page.
