Professor Jeanneret is one of the most illustrious literary and cultural historians of our times, and a representative of the famous “School of Geneva,” after critics such as Jean Rousset or Jean Starobinski. His books pertain mostly to early modernity (especially 16th and 17th centuries), as well as to Romanticism. They include, among others: La scrittura romantica della follia (1984); A Feast of Words. Banquets and Table Talk in the Renaissance (1991); Perpetual motion. Transforming Shapes in the Renaissance from da Vinci to Montaigne (2001), Eros rebelle.
